Here are 5 things that tell a lot about us...
Where Are We From?
Ours is a short history. So short, it could be more of a booklet than a novel! Friends In Faith had its beginning when Stephen Lee, then Pastor of Brookside Baptist Church in Maryland Heights, MO, felt the Lord lead him to establish a new Baptist church in O'Fallon in the fall of 2006.
The first meetings were in the Lee’s living room, and
as new families came into sharing that desire, we moved into
other places to meet.
Starting in April 2014, we meet at
715 Sonderen St. in O'Fallon.

Although we are a young church, we have ancient roots. Since Jesus’ ministry on earth, there have been baptized believers assembling together to serve God according to the teachings of the Bible. We proudly look back at that heritage and gladly look forward to what God will do with us.
What We Do ...
As a masterpiece is more than paint on canvas, a church is more than religious acts and a building. At Friends In Faith, our primary purpose is to worship God as He wants. Therefore, according to John 4:24, we are a spiritual organization focused on the truth of God’s Word.
Our worship is
based upon the Bible. Without it, we would never be able to know or understand
God. You won't find the biggest church with the all
bells and whistles at
Friends in Faith, but what you will find is a group of people
who try to learn the Bible, serve God, and love each other.

What's In a Name?
The name, "Friends in Faith Baptist Fellowship" is a name that we try to be. We started out by being friends who worshiped together having common beliefs. As we have grown, this is what we have desired for our church: people who not only go to church together, but also share common beliefs in the spirit of Christian love.
This is what true Biblical fellowship is all about. A church shouldn't just be about people doing religious things, but a congregation of people who serve God and love each other. Friends in Faith strives to be just that, a congregation of believers who seek to have fellowship with God and each other.
What Do We Believe?
To put things simply, we at Friends In Faith believe the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. It is the record that God has left for people to know and follow Him. However, that simple statement doesn’t give enough information for people to know what we believe the Bible says on spiritual issues. The following is a brief list of what we believe:
We believe that there is one true God who manifests Himself in three distinct "persons," the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe that God inspired men to write the Bible, and it is completely true from Genesis to Revelation.
We believe that Jesus Christ came from above to be a sacrifice for the sins of humanity. He died on the cross, came back to life on the third day, and has gone back to be with the Father.
We believe that everyone who believes in what Jesus did and repents of their sin finds forgiveness and has eternal life. This gives the believer a new life with God that can never be lost.
We believe that no one can to go to heaven except by believing in Christ. Although people should do good works, doing them is not a part of salvation.
We believe that while on earth Jesus instituted His church, which has always been a local congregation of Scripturally baptized believers. Jesus has tasked His church with carrying out baptism and the Lord's Supper, and He has left believers here to spread the gospel of salvation.
We believe that all believers are called to live lives that glorify God. As such, we believe we should live our lives with moral purity and love, with Jesus being our Great Example. We further believe that the Bible should define our sense of morality and not the changing opinions of society.
We believe that God has ordained human government and that we should follow its laws unless they conflict with what God commands us to do. We are thankful that we live in the United States and pray that our civil liberties will remain intact.
We believe that Jesus will one day return to complete believers' salvation with the resurrection and the rapture. He will also return to the earth to judge sin and rule.
If you have questions or would like to know more about what we believe, please contact us. We would be happy to talk to you! Also, the doctrinal statement of the ABA can provide more information.
